Portable Air Conditioner Reviews – Getting used to cold climates, I am getting hot straightforward so I have a desk fan. I have attempted some different ones, but this is without question the best fan I have had. It’s powerful than nine” fans I have used and I suspect as powerful as a 12″, but it is better to direct so it just hits me. It’s got a much littler footprint than a conventional fan, and perches simply ( and stable ) on one corner of my desk.

It’s definitely not a silent fan, but it is quiet enough to be subtle, I believe the noise is reasonable for the air circulation. Another reviewer discussed a rattling sound, I haven’t had anything like that with this fan.

It has a button that cycles thru 3 speeds : fast, medium, slow. I run it on slow which is more than sufficient. It may also oscillate, and the top half can be revolved to indicate a different direction from the bottom half, which is sort of cool.

Pro :
- looks nice! Much pleasanter than a standard desk fan
- good control of direction of air circulation, good control of volume of air
- simple to govern.

Con :
- none truly.

It isn’t silent, but I do not know of any fans which are. Would I purchase it again? Heck ya!

Overall I like this fan. It made me get a tower fan rather than a pedestal fan for my living room, and again I am intensely happy with the mixture of flow, size, and directionality.

Awesome little fan!!

I acquired this to be used in the hospice when I used to be a patient, with the aim of using it in a child’s room after that so as to help with airflow ( which eases back on the chance of SIDS ) and to provide some white noise for her. It’s a perfect size to use on a bedside table. I like how it’s possible for you to position the fan in 2 directions since the top and bottom swivel independently. It helps cover more area with breeze. There are 2 buttons on the front, one to manage air speed / on / off and one for oscillation / still. The sole 2 negatives are the absence of separate buttons for air speed / on / off.

You’ve got to push one button for all 3 speeds and punch it 3 times to turn the fan off. Sort of vexing when holding a squirmy baby or if you’ve got the fan on the ground and wish to turn the fan off with your toe rather than bending over ( yup, call me lazy, but I’m sure you would do the same if you put the fan on the floor. )

The second con is the fan has gotten louder the more it’s used by us. It is on for roughly twelve hours a night in my daughter’s room, so it gets a good quantity of use, perhaps that’s why it is becoming noisier quicker than standard. It provides good white noise, which is ideal for our intended use, so if you would like something quiet this would not be the fan for you. If it had separate buttons for speed and on / off, it might be the ideal compact fan.
